Dr Wayne Martindale, Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam

Dr Wayne Martindale is a research fellow for CSR at the Sheffield Business School and an author investigating food resource utilisation and security. He started out in the 1980s as a British Sugar manufacturing apprentice in the Eastern Counties leading to a Ford Motor Company manufacturing University Scholarship working in logistics, this temporarily diverted him back into agriculture.  He completed a PhD in 1993 and led projects for Levington Agriculture Ltd, USDA, OECD and CSIRO where he became firmly associated with the FMCG environment in which he now applies research.  Wayne is currently designing more sustainable foods that eliminate waste and improve diet planning for consumers. He is available for selected media work, including broadcast and print via the online media centre at Sheffield Hallam where his most recent profile and work is available.
