Mat Roberts is Interserve PLC Director of Sustainability Strategy. He leads on the development of the Interserve SustainAbilities Plan with a specific focus on social and natural capital.
Before joining Interserve, Mat was Head of Sustainability at Landmarc Support Services, an Interserve joint venture.
Mat is an advisor to the EU Business @ Biodiversity Platform, a Trustee of The Princes Countryside Fund, a Non Executive Director of Cynnal Cymru Sustain Wales, and the National Association of AONBs and a fellow of the RSA.
When not working or being a father and husband, he enjoys falling off mountain bikes and capsizing Hobie Cats.
John Ferry is an Earth Scientist with diverse experience in natural resource management. He has held technical, regulatory and advisory roles across many sectors, working with multi-disciplinary teams on sustainable development and strategic environmental management of large asset portfolios.
John was Anglian Water’s public health scientist for 6 years and environmental advisor to the Fiji Government for 3 years. He has developed and protected water resources in Africa, Jordan and the Caucasus mountains, has restored unique wetlands in the Seychelles and worked offshore in North Sea oilfields. A large strand of his work has related to the risk assessment and remediation of legacy contaminated land and water and environmental liability and compliance due diligence.
More recently he has been engaged on environmental assessment with particular interest on ecosystem services and wetlands and works extensively on UK peatlands.
John is based in Edinburgh.
